3.4 Reimbursement FAQs (Utah 25-26)

Q: When can I submit requests for reimbursement?

A: The reimbursement window is September 25 – April 30 (January 15 – April 30 for the mid-year program).

Q: How many times can I submit a reimbursement request per year?

A: As many times as you like! Unlike previous years, there are no limits on the number of reimbursements you can submit for the 25-26 school year.

Q: How long does it take to receive reimbursement?

A: All Requests for Reimbursement are reviewed within 14 business days after being submitted (or resubmitted) in our platform.

You can track the status of each request in your account as it changes from “Submitted” to “Approved” to ”Paid.”

If a request requires updates to be approved, you will receive an email notification.

Once "Paid," the reimbursement amount will appear in your student's wallet.

Q: How much reimbursement is available for Kindergarten?

A: Kindergarteners have access to the same resources as students in grades 1-12.

Q: What if my student enrolls mid-year?

A: Students who join mid-year are eligible for half the standard reimbursement amounts.

Q: What happens if my student withdraws before the end of the year?

A: OpenEd offers full-year (August-May) and mid-year (January-May) programs. Students are expected to participate for the entire duration of their enrolled program. We support parents in making educational decisions for their students and recommend you carefully review our Withdrawal/Repayment Policy.

Q: My reimbursement was sent back, requiring updates. What should I do?

A: If your reimbursement was sent back because it needed an update, our team will clearly communicate what needs to be changed in our email to you.

After you make the requested changes, just resubmit the reimbursement request through OpenEd's platform!

Q: I missed the deadline for submitting my request for reimbursement. Is it too late?

A: Unfortunately yes, all requests for reimbursement must be submitted by April 30th.

Q: Can I be reimbursed for used or refurbished items?

A: Used or refurbished items are eligible for reimbursement, but you will need a receipt from the vendor that meets our receipt requirements.
