We know Kansas Count Day can feel a little different from your typical day of schooling at home. While your student is required to log at least 6 hours of learning on each Count Day, how they spend that time can look flexible and varied.
To make things easier, our teaching team has prepared a collection of optional resources designed to keep students engaged and supported throughout the day. These aren’t required — they’re simply here if you’d like fresh ideas or structured activities to round out your student’s learning time.
What’s Available
Join sessions led by OpenEd staff where students can connect, learn, and have fun together. Perfect for adding variety and interaction to their day.
Connected Learning Choice Board (Curated Content)
Articles, videos, and activities hand-picked or created by our teaching team to make the time fly by. These are especially useful if your student enjoys independent exploration.
Why We Offer This
You know your student best, and most families will find that their regular learning plan fills the required time easily. But if you’d like extra support — or just want to add something new — these resources are here to help.
Whether your student spends the day with their usual books and projects, joins one of our live sessions, or a mix of both, you’re not alone. OpenEd is here to make sure Kansas Count Day is smooth, supported, and successful for your family.
