Overview:
The Petition for Transfer of Students is a mandatory document for Arkansas students seeking to enroll in the OpenEd program. State law requires that OpenEd provides the Petition for Transfer to both the student's resident district and the new (accepting) district.
How the Transfer Process Works:
You complete the online Petition for Transfer Form.
Once submitted, it automatically goes to the receiving district (Valley Springs) and they will obtain signature from your Resident District.
We inform you when your document is complete!
Important Notes:
Final approval to participate in the OpenEd program depends on the student’s local boundary school district signing the required transfer form.
All applicants must obtain a release from their resident district, even if the student has never been enrolled there or has previously been released to a different district.
