Approved learning resources, tutoring, lessons, classes, and educational supplies are purchased by the parent and can be reimbursed up to $250/period.
Available amount: $250 per Custom-built period ($125 for the mid-year program)
Reimbursement Window: September 25 – April 30 (January 15 – April 30 for the mid-year program)
Number of submissions per year:
Any single Custom-built course on a schedule will have two (2) Requests for Reimbursement available.
Resources for one student are combined across all Custom-built periods. The Request for Reimbursement form combines all Custom-built periods automatically.
Up to eight (8) total Request for Reimbursement forms can be submitted for combined Custom-built periods.
Additional details:
Custom-built reimbursements are approved for:
Secular learning materials
Tutoring, lessons, classes, and field trips between August – May of the current school year (January – May for the mid-year program)
Educational supplies (reasonable and prudent amount)
Tax and shipping proportionate to the reimbursable items
Art supplies up to $25 per Custom-built course (applicable to the subject)
Additional art supplies can be reimbursed with a Custom-built Art class or Technology Allowance funds.
Photo and photo book printing up to $25 per Custom-built course
Additional printing costs can be reimbursed with Technology Allowance funds.
Custom-built reimbursements are not approved for:
Items that aren’t directly related to the course subject
Non-secular (religious) learning materials
Payment to a family member for tutoring or lessons
Instruction in June and July
Items listed as “not reimbursable” on the Is this Reimbursable? spreadsheet
