Important Note:
Final approval to participate in the OpenEd program depends on the student’s local boundary school district signing the required Inter-district transfer form.
Process Overview:
Once you receive a Letter of Acceptance to participate in the OpenEd program, administered statewide by Nyssa School District, you’ll be asked to submit an Enrollment Packet.
You must upload a completed and signed Inter-district transfer form as part of the Enrollment Packet.
Most districts link their transfer form on their website.
Please contact your local district directly if you need help locating their form.
If your district requires you to initiate the request with Nyssa first, please email [email protected] for Nyssa’s form and additional guidance.
Your local district must approve and sign the transfer form BEFORE you upload the document to your student’s Enrollment Packet.
Submitting a transfer request in April / early May will increase the likelihood of getting the local district’s approval.
Once the Enrollment Packet has been fully approved, your student will be approved to participate in the OpenEd program.
Please note that most districts require an annual renewal of the form.
