We strive to open doors for students and parents to build relationships with other OpenEd families by offering field trips, showcases, and student clubs, to name a few! Explore the ways OpenEd keeps our community connected.
Check the InfoCenter Calendar regularly for information about upcoming OpenEd Community Events.
Student Clubs:
We offer virtual clubs for OpenEd students to connect through their passions. See the current OpenEd Student Clubs.
Additionally, students may participate in their local school's extracurricular, school-sponsored activities. If the activity requires enrollment in a specific class to participate, students would need to qualify for On-site Split Enrollment.
Students may also enroll in local community classes as part of their personalized education plan through the 3rd Party Provider or Custom-built course options.
Field trips, events, and webinars:
Connect with other families on an in-person field trip. Past opportunities include the Clark Planetarium, Hale Centre Theatre, Dinosaur Discovery Site, and more!
We also offer virtual field trips throughout the year. Past virtual experiences include Jamestown, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Pearl Harbor, and more!
We host annual events like Park Days and Student Showcases.
Leadership Webinar Series: Watch inspiring interviews with successful entrepreneurs, authors, artists, young entrepreneurs, and more!
Service opportunity:
To inspire community service and honor the legacy of one of our original employees, we offer the annual Stephanie Hess β OpenEd Community Service Program.
